Books in Homes Australia complies with Australian Taxation Office guidelines. Books in Homes Australia, can only issue a tax-deductible receipt, if the fundraising revenue is raised from a “donor’’ who does not receive any benefits in return. In other words, the revenue must be given without any obligations owing back to the donor. Fundraising revenue raised from raffles, auctions are not considered “donations” as the donor receives something in return for their money. It is not possible to issue a tax-deductible receipt for these activities. If in doubt we recommend that you seek your own independent tax advice.
Donation Refund Policy
If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to Books in Homes Australia, we will honor your request for a refund made within 15 days of your donation.
To request a refund, please call 02 9434 2488. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
